Thursday September 29, 2016 the Danish National Research Foundation (DNRF) visited Copenhagen Center for Glycomics (CCG) together with an expert panel of three internationally recognized glycobiology researchers: Professor Jamie Marth (University of California), Professor Ten Feizi (Imperial College London) and Professor Göran Larson (University of Gothenburg). The purpose of the visit was to do a midterm evaluation of CCG as a center of excellence, eventually to decide if the center will be granted a second funding period of four years by DNRF. The meeting was highly succesful as summarized by the evaluation report, which was subsequently written by the expert panel: "the center is truly excellent and outstanding from both national and international perspectives".
