Inauguration of the Mærsk Tower
Wednesday January 18, 2017 The Mærsk Tower was officially inaugurated by her majesty Queen Margrethe II of Denmark. Representatives from Mærsk, the Chastine Mc-Kinney Møller Foundation and the architectural firm CF Møller attended the opening ceremony together with selected staff from the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences of University of Copenhagen.
Professor Hans Wandall from Copenhagen Center for Glycomics was chosen as a speaker at this honourable event.
With it's 42,700 square metres of streamlined design, 15 storeys and 1,500 m2 solar cells, the Mærsk Tower will serve as an ultramodern and energy efficient research and education facility, in which borderless and flexible environments stimulate interaction and collaboration between health science students as well as between different research groups. Copenhagen Center for Glycomics is proud to become part of this cutting edge research hub with plans of moving in on the 10th floor in the year of 2017.
